EuroMarine Network represented the NEXTMARINE project at the Thalassa Conference organised by the Cyprus Marine and Maritime Institute (CMMI) in Larnaka, Cyprus. The two‑day event brought together an international community of marine scientists, innovators, and stakeholders for discussions spanning marine ecosystems and blue economy developments.
During the conference, EuroMarine presented the poster “NEXTMARINE: Unlocking Marine Extremophile Biodiversity for Next-Generation Industrial Biocatalysts” as part of the official poster session hosted at CMMI House. This provided a valuable opportunity to showcase the project’s objectives and early progress, while engaging with researchers working across multiple disciplines, from ecology and biotechnology to marine governance.
The event served as an important platform for dissemination and networking, enabling meaningful exchanges with the wider marine science community and fostering potential collaborations. Discussions highlighted the relevance of NEXTMARINE’s approach to exploring extreme marine environments and advancing innovative, responsible bioprospecting strategies.
EuroMarine’s participation contributed to strengthening the project’s visibility within the international research landscape and reinforcing links with key stakeholders across science and industry.
